Motorcyclist dies in Co Cavan crash

A 25-year-old motorcyclist has died after colliding with a bollard in Co Cavan yesterday evening.

The accident happened at Ballymagauran, just off the Ballinamore to Ballyconnell road, shortly before 7pm. No other vehicles were involved.

The victim, whose name is being withheld until all next of kin are informed, was the 23rd motorcyclist to die in road accidents in Ireland so far this year.
