Cullen insists aviation proposals will benefit everyone
Minister for Transport Martin Cullen has insisted that his proposals for the future of state-owned aviation infrastructure will benefit everybody.
Opposition parties, trade unions and investors are this morning studying the minister's plan to privatise a majority stake in Aer Lingus and build a second publicly owned terminal at Dublin Airport.
The Cabinet approved the measures yesterday and also decided that a third terminal should be considered after passenger numbers surpass the 30 million mark.
Speaking last night, Mr Cullen said the measures would help both Aer Lingus and Dublin Airport to expand to the benefit of consumers, the economy and the tourism sector.
