Airforce One cancels refuelling stop at Shannon

George W. Bush will not be touching down at Shannon Airport today.

The US President's plane had planned to refuel on the way back to Washington from Europe's VE Day celebrations.

It is thought favourable weather conditions means Airforce One can make it home non-stop.
