Closure orders served on three food businesses last month
Hygiene inspectors served closure orders on three businesses last month, according to figures published today by the Food Safety Authority.
The Authority said two of the orders were served on Melly's Cafe on Main Street in Killybegs, Co Donegal and the Camden Halal Grocery on Lower Camden Street in Dublin.
A third closure order was served by veterinary inspectors in connection with premises at Creeve in Clontibret, Co Monaghan.
Closure orders require the immediate closure of all or part of a business and are only served when inspectors decide the premises poses a grave and immediate danger to public health.
