The five-year-old boy who was shot in the head in a school playground in Co Fermanagh is showing signs of improvement.

Darragh Somers was hit by a bullet while playing at his school near Enniskillen eight days ago.

It is thought he was hit accidentally by someone shooting in nearby fields.

However, he remains critically ill.

Police have renewed their appeal for anyone with information who has not yet come forward to do so.
