Adams to outline 'difficult choices' for republican movement
Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams is set to outline the steps that republicans must take to move the peace process forward during a speech in Belfast today.
Sinn Féin sources said Mr Adams would use the speech to outline a series of difficult measures that he believes the republican movement must implement.
In recent weeks and months, virtually all other participants in the peace process have blamed ongoing criminality by the Provisional IRA for the impasse.
Pressure on Sinn Féin has grown since the December 20 Northern Bank robbery, which was blamed on the IRA, and the January 30 murder of Robert McCartney, which was carried out by IRA members.
