Labour leader Pat Rabbitte said today that it was inevitable that the Taoiseach's popularity would benefit from the current crisis in the peace process.

Mr Rabbitte was reacting to the latest opinion poll, which shows that support for the Government is back up to the level it was at before the 2002 general election.
