Gardaí find mother of baby discovered in shallow grave

Gardaí have found the mother of the baby boy whose body was found in a shallow grave in Co Mayo last weekend.

Appeals had been made all week for her to come forward.

Detectives in Belmullet have said the girl has been located.

The new-born infant's remains were discovered by youths in townlands near Carrowtigue on Sunday.
