One in five at risk of poverty, EC study reveals

A European Commission study has found Irish women are at greater risk of poverty than their counterparts in any other EU member state.

Reports this morning said the EC had found that 23% of Irish women were at risk of poverty, compared to 19% in Britain, 16% in France and 12% in Germany.
