Power City denies dumping accusation
Electrical retailer Power City is denying responsibility for the dumping of 700 fridges at a traveller halting site in West Dublin.
The appliances were discovered in Clondalkin by waste enforcement officers from South Dublin County Council.
Power City says it uses an independent operator to collect old fridges and it has no knowledge of the illegal dumping.
Fridges contain CFC gases and their disposal is governed by strict rules.
