Cowen urged to fund completion of Breast Check roll-out

A lobby group campaigning for improvements in Irish cancer services has called on Finance Minister Brian Cowen to provide funds to extend free breast-screening to the south and west of the country.

Europa Donna Ireland said women's lives were being put at risk by the Government's failure to complete the nationwide roll-out of the Breast Check scheme.
