Disabled worker wins €58,000 for workplace discrimination

The Labour Court has awarded almost €58,000 to a worker who was discriminated against by his employer on the grounds of a disability.

The man was employed in a specialist capacity for more than 14 years before being admitted to hospital in April 2002 with a psychiatric illness.
