Harney hoping to introduce doctor-only medical cards in April

Health Minister Mary Harney has announced plans to introduce so-called doctor-only medical cards in April of this year.

Holders of these medical cards will be allowed to visit GPs free of charge, but they will still have to pay for their medicines.
