Eircom has announced plans to outsource its call centre operation in Dublin to a British company.

Eircom has announced plans to outsource its call centre operation in Dublin to a British company.

The Irish telecommunications firm said Capita had signed a €20m contract to take over the running of the centre, which sells broadband and other services.

The 200 staff employed at the centre are to be offered the option of joining the new company or staying with eircom.
