McDowell predicts further fall in crime levels

Justice Minister Michael McDowell has predicted further decreases in serious crime levels this year due to his planned Criminal Justice Bill.

Figures published by Mr McDowell this morning showed that the number of serious crimes reported to Gardai last year had fallen by 4% compared to 2003.
