New guidelines for foreign workers on sites

The Health and Safety Authority has devised a new initiative to improve safety awareness among foreign workers on Irish construction sites.

Under the plan, which is due to be launched today, safety notices on building sites will include pictures depicting potential hazards in an effort to overcome language barriers.
