Two raiders have escaped with around €200,000 in cash after they held up a post office in the Rathmines area of Dublin this morning.

Staff at the post office were opening the premises on the Upper Rathmines Road at around 8am when they were approached by two youths who had apparently broken into the building overnight.

The thieves tied up the staff and waited until the money for the day was delivered. Nobody was injured in the incident.
