Householders urged to recycle Christmas and New Year waste

Householders are being urged to recycle as much as possible of the mountain of waste produced over the Christmas and New Year periods.

Waste such as wrapping paper, cardboard, plastic bottles, drinks cans, newspapers and magazines can be brought to recycling centres, while glass bottles and jars can also be taken to bottle banks.
