A woman in her 20s has been rescued from Ireland's highest mountain after she got into difficulties yesterday.

A woman in her 20s has been rescued from Ireland's highest mountain after she got into difficulties yesterday.

The woman sustained an unknown injury while trying to descend Carrauntoohil in Co Kerry after reaching the summit yesterday afternoon.

Members of Kerry Mountain Rescue reached her last night and stretchered her down to a waiting ambulance.
