Senator urges HSE to approve 'vital operation' for Lee Reeves

Lee Reeves' family have met with doctors at the Mater Hospital, where he was recently transferred after being in a coma in Beaumont Hospital.

A senator has called on the HSE to ensure a "vital operation" is carried out for Limerick boxer Lee Reeves, who remains in a critical condition after suffering serious injuries in a bout last month.

Senator Chris Andrews told the Seanad he had attended the August 1 fight at Dublin's 3Arena.
