Bush has 'useful' phone talks with Paisley

US President George Bush today telephoned the Rev Ian Paisley and offered to help Northern Ireland’s politicians to strike a deal to revive power sharing.

The Democratic Unionist leader confirmed he received a phone call from the US President at lunchtime and described their conversation as useful.
