Letterkenny assault leaves man critically injured

A man was in a critical condition after he was assaulted in Letterkenny in the early hours of this morning.

The incident occurred at Kilmacrenan Road at approximately 3am when the 27-year-old man was assaulted by another man outside a licenced premises.

The injured man was moved to Letterkenny General Hospital and was later transferred to Beaumont Hospital Dublin.
