New Kildare recycling plant gets go ahead
The go-ahead has been given for a new €25m recycling and waste sorting facility in Co Kildare.
The integrated waste management plant at Ballynadrummy will process old vehicles, treat tyres and recycle wood.
It will be developed by Thornton's, one of Ireland's leading recycling companies.
It has said the plant will help treat waste in a safe way with minimal impact on the environment.
Thornton's already employ more than 250 people in Kildare, Dublin and Meath.
