British hunters may come to Ireland

Questions are being raised about how a group of pro-hunt protesters managed to barge their way into Britain's House of Commons.

It is thought they may have been helped by someone inside with a security pass. Eight people have been arrested.

Deer and hare-coursing face an imminent ban in Britain while fox hunting will be phased out.

John Tierney of the Hunt Saboteurs of Ireland says it aims to prevent English hunters coming here.

“These people are addicted to killing wild animals and if it's banned in Britain they may come to Ireland. We don't want them here. The Irish hunting lobby don't want them here. If they do come here we'll be ready for them," he said.
