Woman dragged 30 feet along Antrim road by car thief

A 36-year-old woman is recovering in hospital after she was dragged 30 feet along a road while a thief sped away in her car last night.

The incident happened in the Co Antrim village of Templepatrick.

The woman's arm was trapped in the door of the vehicle when she tried to stop the robbery and was dragged 30 feet along the road while her five-year-old son looked on.

The PSNI has appealed for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
