Railway line to reopen after collapse of viaduct

Irish Rail has announced the reopening of a cross-country railway line.

The Waterford to Limerick Junction route has been closed since the collapse of Cahir Viaduct last year.

Repairs and upgrading have been carried out to reopen the line to passenger and goods trains.

Iarnrod Éireann spokesman Barry Kenny said that there would be an overall improvement in the quality of the service.
