SF slams decision to allow Belfast parade
Sinn Féin’s Gerry Kelly has criticised the Parades Commission’s decision to allow a contentious Orange Order march to pass through a flashpoint area in north Belfast on Monday.
Mr Kelly said the march should have been re-routed due to repeated breaches of the commission’s guidelines at past parades in the area.
Mr Kelly said the local area had suffered from sectarian attacks for many years.
He called on nationalists in the Ardoyne area to mount a peaceful protest against Monday’s parade and urged them to exercise restraint.
