A driver escorting a Sinn Féin European hopeful and party President Gerry Adams to a polling station in Dublin was cautioned today by gardaí.

The man was pulled over at the voting centre in Castleknock after a loudspeaker on the roof of his car was heard urging people to vote for Sinn Féin’s Mary Lou McDonald.
