Man found dead in Cork city

Gardaí in Cork are investigating the death of a man in a house in the north of the city this morning.

The man's body was found just after 5am in a house on Fairhill Drive.

He had apparently suffered a knife wound. The scene has been preserved for technical examination and a post mortem is due to be carried out later today.
