Taoiseach confident of securing agreement on EU constitution

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has expressed confidence of securing agreement on the proposed EU constitution before Ireland’s presidency of the union expires on June 30.

Speaking at the opening of an EU summit in Brussels, Mr Ahern said the outstanding issues could be resolved if the individual member states were willing.
