Pregnant woman injured in fire bomb attack
A pregnant woman has been wounded in a petrol bomb attack on a family in Northern Ireland, police revealed today.
She was treated in hospital for smoke inhalation along with her partner and two children following the attack on a house in Newtownstewart, Co Tyrone.
The woman also suffered cuts to her head during the attack at around 11pm last night.
A device was thrown through a downstairs window of the property in Avery Park as the couple watched television, police said.
The children, aged five and seven, were in bed when the bombers struck.
Although the family managed to get out, the living room was badly damaged by fire.
Detectives in Strabane have yet to establish a motive for the bombing and have urged any witnesses to come forward.
