The Irish Cigarette Machine Operators Association has announced its intention to hold its AGM in the North this year due to the impending workplace smoking ban.

The Irish Cigarette Machine Operators Association has announced its intention to hold its AGM in the North this year due to the impending workplace smoking ban.

The association said a European tobacco conference due to held in Dublin next year would also be moved North of the border, where delegates would be free to smoke in the meeting hall.

The ICMOA said the decisions to move the conferences were an example of the damaging effect the workplace smoking ban would have on the Irish economy.
