Pro-choice group seeks repeal of Abortion Information Act
A pro-choice organisation has launched a campaign calling for the repeal of the Abortion Information Act.
The group, Alliance for Choice, said the act, which outlawed the publication of information about abortion clinics, was too restrictive.
The organisation has been defying the legislation today by handing out leaflets to the people in Dublin and Cork containing details of abortion services in the UK.
Alliance for Choice said people facing crisis pregnancies should have a right to access information about such services.
