Cancer charity brings kids to car show in style

20 children, who are looked after by the children's cancer charity, Malcom Sargent, will be treated to a trip to the Belfast Sportscar Show, and they are going in style.

Local dealers and private owners have given up their cars and time to drive the children to the Show in some dream cars, which inlcude Ferrari, Maserati, Porsche, Mercedes, Jaguar, TVR, Aston Martin and some classics, inclduing a DeLorean.

Eddie Milton, Show Director said: "Some of the kids are pretty poorly, so we are allowing them to come in an hour before the Show opens to avoid any crowding and minimise any distress".

The organisers are hoping that police will be able to add some excitement to the cavalcade by providing outriders and flashing lights.

Mr Milton said: "Keith Miller has worked very hard to pull these cars together. Thanks must also go to the owners and dealers who provided the cars and drivers."

The charity will be collecting at the Belfast Sportscar Show, which is on from January 30 to February 1at the King's Hall and Showground, Belfast.

The event inlcudes four halls of car exhibits, including contemporary, classics, motorsport and modified cars, plus two days of sprint rallying.
