Services for visually impaired to be improved

Mary Coughlan, the Minister for Social and Family Affairs, has announced plans to improve her department’s services for the visually impaired.

Mary Coughlan, the Minister for Social and Family Affairs, has announced plans to improve her department’s services for the visually impaired.

Ms Couglan said the improvements would focus on telephone and e-mail facilities.

She also said she hoped to have technology in place to communicate with customers using braille at some stage next year.
