Govt urged to integrate immigrants
The Immigrant Council of Ireland has called on the Government to introduce policies aimed at integrating immigrants into Irish society.
Sr Stanislaus Kennedy, a spokesperson for the group, said yesterday that such policies were needed to tackle growing racism in Ireland.
âIt isnât just the job of the Government,â she said.
âItâs also the job of the unions, the private sector, the public sector, the corporate sector, the NGOs and civil society to work together to build a future that is integrated, that is cohesive, that is just and that is fair.â
