Alarming number of chronic bronchitis sufferers

A leading consultant is warning that many smokers may have a mild form of C.O.P.D without even knowing it.

The disease was formally referred to as chronic bronchitis and at this time of year there is a 45% increase in the number of hospital admissions from it.
