Conradh: Irish must be official European language
Irish language enthusiasts are lobbying for Irish to be recognised as an official language of the European Union.
Conradh na Gaeilge is holding a seminar today to discuss the implications of an enlarged EU on the future of the language.
Spokesperson for Conradh na Gaeilge, Daithí Mac Cárthaigh, said Irish should have the same status as other marginalised languages.
