US Ambassador presents credentials to McAleese

The new US ambassador to Ireland has presented his credentials to President Mary McAleese.

Ambassador James C. Kenny has been executive vice president of the Kenny Construction company and President of Kenny Management services.

As well as his involvement in the US construction industry, he has worked in public and community services.

Ambassador Kenny was a member of President Bush's first overseas delegation in February 2002.

He is married to Margaret and has four children.
