Gardaí hunt bank raiders in Ashbourne

Two men have escaped with an undisclosed sum of money following an armed raid at the Bank of Ireland in Ashbourne, Co Meath, today.

The pair, dressed in white tracksuits and had scarves over the faces, entered the bank around midday and produced a firearm.

They fled the scene on foot across the Brookville housing estate and down Hunter’s Lane.
