Gardaí seize cannabis resin, cocaine and ecstasy in Tallaght

Gardaí in Tallaght, Dublin have seized cannabis resin, cocaine and ecstasy tablets with an estimated street value of €10,000 in two separate incidents.

The first happened at Belgard Heights at around 9pm last night when gardaí on a routine patrol stopped and searched a car.

The 24-year-old male driver was arrested when gardaí found him to be in possession of cannabis resin worth €200.

A follow-up search of a house in the vicinity uncovered further cannabis resin and cocaine worth €9,000.

The arrested man was released without charge and a file has been sent to the DPP.

Meanwhile, in an unrelated case, gardai in Tallaght stopped and searched a male motorcyclist who was found to be in possession of 80 ecstasy tablets.

He was also released without charge, with file being sent to the DPP.
