Govt study to contradict findings of UN drug report
A study by the Government’s National Advisory Committee on Drugs and the North’s Drug and Alcohol Information and Research Unit is reportedly set to contradict last week’s United Nations report claiming Irish youngsters were among the highest amphetamine users in the world.
The study of drug use in Ireland is expected to reveal that 4% of people in the Republic and 6% in the North have tried ecstasy at least once.
