Four masked men raid house in Co Cavan

Gardaí in Co Cavan are appealing for witnesses with information on a raid in Loughduff last night to come forward.

Four masked men raided the house of a man and his 86-year-old mother at around 11.30pm.

The man received injuries to his head and arms and was tied up in his kitchen.

The raiders made off with a large amount of cigarettes and a quantity of cash.
