Irish aid agency Trocaire has called on the Government to use its forthcoming presidency of the European Union to support reform of the United Nations.

Irish aid agency Trocaire has called on the Government to use its forthcoming presidency of the European Union to support reform of the United Nations.

Trocaire said Ireland’s six-month presidency, which begins on January 1, also represents an opportunity for the Irish Government to push the UN to implement poverty-reduction strategies.
