Ex-IRA man agrees to give Bloody Sunday evidence

A former member of the Provisional IRA has reportedly agreed to give evidence to the Saville Inquiry investigating the killing of 13 Catholic civil rights marchers by British soldiers in Derry in 1972.

A former member of the Provisional IRA has reportedly agreed to give evidence to the Saville Inquiry investigating the killing of 13 Catholic civil rights marchers by British soldiers in Derry in 1972.

Sinn Féin’s Martin McGuinness, who has admitted being second-in-command of the IRA in Derry at the time, had been the only IRA man to agree to testify before the inquiry.
