Cargo ship ‘hit while on UN-approved route through Strait of Hormuz’
A cargo ship travelling through the Strait of Hormuz on a United Nations-approved route was hit by a projectile on Thursday, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations said, as several tankers made their way out of the channel using the same path.
Iran has threatened vessels using the path that runs along the coast of Oman. It was promoted by a UN maritime agency.
