Fine Gael question Tánaiste's criticism of Luas

Fine Gael has launched an attack on the Tánaiste following her criticism of plans to bring the Luas into the Red Cow Roundabout.

Spokesperson on transport Denis Naughton says Mary Harney displayed an incredible abdication of responsibility at a conference in Killarney yesterday.

He says the Tánaiste negelected her duty to speak up about any difficulties she foresaw before.

"The Luas has indeed turned into a total fiasco but as a member of the Government, the Tánaiste would have, or certainly should have been involved in discussing the pros and cons of the Luas system at cabinet level," Deputy Naughton said.
