An investigation is underway after shots were fired outside a pub in the Cabra area of Dublin last night.

Two youths were refused entry to the Cabra House, on Fassaugh Road, shortly before midnight.

They later returned wearing balaclavas, one of them armed with a pump action shotgun.

The doorman managed to disarm the youth and the pair ran away, but returned again with another shotgun.

Two shots were fired, and the youths fled the scene in a white Opel Vectra.
