Globalise Resistance, the group at the centre of last year's May-Day March in Dublin where gardaí were accused of heavy-handedness, is marching again today on Dame Street.

Rory Hearne, Chairperson of Globalise Resistance, said today's march is in solidarity with the anti-globalisation protests taking place at the WTO talks in Cancun, Mexico.

The demonstration is to start at 3pm, and the group say they're confident there won't be a repeat performance of the May-Day March where gardaí were accused of over-reacting to what was essentially a peaceful protest.
