The Irish Cancer Society has announced that its funding of cancer research projects in Ireland has doubled this year to around €2m.

The Irish Cancer Society has announced that its funding of cancer research projects in Ireland has doubled this year to around €2m.

The society said it had provided €670,000 to new cancer research projects, €620,000 to existing projects and €770,000 to specific research programmes into prostate cancer.
